There are transactions for the show and for business transactions. Until now, YouTube has the video content business are more host for the show, to signal it intends to be serious, the market eventually.
As Brad Stone reported on Monday held by Google’s video site was a deal to allow users to watch some full-length movies and the old TV MGM.
But after a year, Hulu.com, a joint venture between NBC and Fox, became the most prominent site mainstream TV and, increasingly, movies.
Jim Packer, MGM co-president, The Times has said: “We have some long-form video clips on YouTube, but I think this platform is to have 30 movies or 40 to a date. I feel much more comfortable to do this on a site like Hulu. ”
There are many reasons for this.
Studios are wary of YouTube has historically lax attitude towards posting material copyrighted. Many companies in the media worry about the power of Google growing over their own business. And worry about having some of their multimillion-dollars in epics mix between movies of children on the pudding plopping their hair.
However, I think there is another reason for not said as much. Even if YouTube is a great success with its audience, the site itself is a disaster. It is visually distracting, and I never could find what I want when I want. Compare YouTube for MGM page of “American Gladiators” Hulu’s page for the same series. On Hulu, it is much easier to understand what is happening and find episodes you may want to follow (if unlikely you actually want to watch any episodes at all.)

Here’s a test even easier: Let’s say you wanted to relax and watch a movie on your computer. What Hulu have? Click the top of any page is a list of films and some ways to learn more. How to find all the videos on YouTube? I spent five minutes wandering around the site and does not know.

So, perhaps before Google to send more people looking for movies from Hollywood, he might want to build a better online theater in which to watch them.
